For vendors
Sponsorship and paid placements
Paid placements are labelled visibility in the directory. They are not a verification shortcut, and they do not change how listings rank.
What a paid placement is
- A labelled placement on the category pages where the tool is listed.
- A recommended slot on the comparison page.
- A Sponsored label wherever the placement appears.
- A disclosure on the listing itself, and on any affiliate link used for it.
Placement buys attention and nothing else. It does not carry a recommendation, and the label says so on the page where the placement appears.
What a paid placement is not
- Not a ranking boost: a sponsored listing does not move above an unsponsored one in category pages or search.
- Not part of verification: the recorded fields, the sources and the verification date come from the same review process regardless of placement.
- Not a quality claim: we do not publish words like best or leading for any listing, paid or not.
- Not a way into the directory: a placement can only appear for a listing that has already passed verification.
The verification record for a sponsored listing is written by the same process, from the same sources, with the same manual checks. If the record says a framework is not stated, a sponsorship does not change that.
How labelling works
Every placement carries the Sponsored label before it goes live, and the listing page states that the listing is sponsored. Affiliate links are disclosed where they are used.
The same rule is stated in the site footer: paid placements are labelled, and ranking never depends on payment. If a label is missing or unclear, treat it as an error and report it to the address below.
How enquiries are handled today
Sponsorship is not available to order online yet. There is no checkout on this site, and nothing here will take payment.
Send the listing name, the category or page you are interested in, and a contact address on the vendor's own domain to [email protected]. If a placement is available, the disclosure requirements are explained first, before anything is agreed.
If the listing does not exist yet
Sponsorship is for listings that are already in the directory. To get listed, use the submission process or the claim process if the listing is yours and needs correcting.
