Overview

Kepler (Kubernetes-based Efficient Power Level Exporter) is a Prometheus exporter that measures energy consumption at the Kubernetes Pod and Node level. The project reads hardware power sensors, attributes power consumption to individual containers and exports the resulting metrics for Prometheus, so platform teams can see which workloads draw power and report energy use alongside other cluster telemetry.

Use cases

  • Measure pod and node energy consumption in Kubernetes
  • Attribute cluster power use to workloads
  • Export energy metrics to Prometheus
  • Report infrastructure energy alongside carbon data
